Whatever family BS prevented these two incredibly talented brothers from making music together for the past 20 or so years has been forgotten. What isn't forgotten is that these men were made to make music. With deep respect paid to the music that is the history of blues, soul, country, rockabilly and american roots music, there are no better ambassadors than the Alvin Brothers. Phil's voice is as great as its ever been and their playing is just hands down spot on. Never a disappointment when these two get together. Worth every penny. Buy this album.

Been waiting a long time to go home. This record makes it seem like only yesterday and is worth the wait. Phil and Dave have most certainly made up for lost time.
Full Disclosure: I am a die-hard Blasters fan. After hearing them for the first time way back in ’81, I got serious about playing guitar and fronted a R&B band for the next 35 years. One of my major influences.
Foot stompin’, finger snappin' and toe tappin’ straight up American music. Dave’s guitar tone is raw, earthy, gritty and he swings so hard it hurts. Phil’s voice is matured, soulful and helps drive the tunes. The supporting cast plays their collective butt off, and the music selection is spot on; letting the Brothers Alvin stretch out, making old new again.
What are you waiting for? Just buy it. Lost time is not found again.
