I’ve been waiting for a new release from Jennah bell since i originally heard the early bird LP back in 2011. I loved every song she had on that ep and followed up with Live at Mother. I’ve been following her music for the past 4 years and when this was originally released I was very disappointed at how long the wait was for only 5 tracks, how she stopped posting songs on youtube and essentially completely disappeared right before this release. I gave up hope that she would ever come out with something again let alone something that could measure up to her first 2 collections. Even after this came out i spent a long time deciding whether or not to buy it because i felt neglected as a fan, but after finally doing so I have to say i’m sorry i slept on this album for so long. This is powerhouse of album even in its brevity. Each song is so masterfully crafted and orchestrated that it makes you want to listen to it again and again. This album makes the wait well worth it.

I happened to be in NYC a couple of weeks ago visiting my son who came with me to see Gregory Porter at The Town Hall. Jennah Bell opened and had the entire audience mesmerized with her pure vocals and mastery of her guitar. I have since bought her EP and live album on iTunes. It's a nice way to remain calm as I get through my workday while grooving to her music.

Jenny Bell opened for Gregory Porter last night at Town Hall, NYC, which was my introduction to her. Beautiful written songs, beautifully sung!
