Just a wonderful piece. Chances childlike attitude and gospel influences transcends this record into something infectious and often formalistic. Owes so much to Kanye Wests GRADUATION in both style and exuberance. Even the abundance of trendy features work in its favor, like watching a kid play with his favorite toys in his sandbox.

Chance’s transformation from Acid Rap to Coloring Book to me is one of the best rebrandings in music history. Both CB and AR are classics, but to me Coloring Book gets a slight edge, it’s so good, I love basically every song, always makes me smile listening to this album
