All of Rumer’s albums are awesome. This one brings back those 70’s songs we loved so much. Her voice is so smooth and crystal clear! You will not be disappointed!

I have been listening to Bacharach and David since the l960’s and believe that Rumor is one of, if not the best, interpreters of their music. Her polished, smooth, soulful sound is key to understanding and appreciating the lyrics, and she makes her mark every time. The last time I was this impressed was when Elvis Costello sang Bacharach. Once in a lifetime. Rumer is awesome and her lovely voice is like no other. I love this singer. It is a gift to find this album/cd of her singing these songs. She appeared on Daryl Hall’s Podcast a few years past and at the Whitehouse singing Bacharach/David and was incredible. She is beyond the top 40 and belongs in a Hall of Fame. Lovely style and voice.

If this doesn't win a Grammy in 2017, I'll be shocked. Simply gorgeous.

These songs are right in Rumor's wheelhouse. But rather than simple copy the original artists, she adds her own touches.......which are beautiful. This album is on "REPEAT".....over and over.

While sweet and airy, Rumer is no Karen. Karen had a deep, rich tone and pitch-perfect phrasing that is sadly missing on Rumer's wafer-thin voice and limited range. I truly appreciate Rumer and the need to return to straight-forward singing without all the embellishments of many of today's America Idol/The Voice contest gimmicks. I am grateful these enduring strong songs still have an audience to be sung clear and with little artiface. I gave Rumer a good try. I liked it but it was just ok. Mostly it just made me sad and missing Karen's voice all the more... I had to get out her peerless recordings to play and remind me of the far superior original. It is tragic that Karen never got to record an album like this that is totally decicated to Bacharach and David. The Carpenters would have created some wonderful full-lenght recordings on these songs as well as much of the Great American Song Book standards. What a shame that we missed out on that lovely pairing of Karen's rich, magical, DEEP tone and those haunting Carpenter harmonies on such classics. I wish Rumer the best. She has a lovely voice. However, she does not match Karen. Sorry.

Such a beautiful voice and a really sweet girl too. Met her twice at the World Cafe in Philly. Her vocals in a live setting are note perfect and her shows are really a moving experience! xx

Her tones are golden. She brings me back to my childhood and one of the greatest love song writers EVER. Thank you for keeping his music alive and for singing with the voice of an angel. Hey ya'll if you want to be flashed back to a simpler time where the music and the artist was pure check out this Songbook. Enjoy!!!

A style like Karen Carpenter but a voice that is her own. What draws you in is the sensitivity. Her voice is soft, comforting .. First song I listened to was The Look of Love and I wanted to hear more.
