Some people may say that Henry Rollins was the best vocalist for Black Flag, I say Ron Reyes was. Get this EP, you won't regret it.

People seem to making this mistake alot, so im jus gonna clear this up. The singer on this album and the second part of everything went black is named ron reyes. He was credited as chavo pedatrist on everything went black by the band as a way to get back at him for leaving the band, (which he had done by the time that album was released.) Chavo Pedatrist is spanish for one who is attracted to pre pubecent males. Great record btw.
  • Good band, great guitarist, world changing legacy.

While I think Black Flag certainly wasn't the best hardcore punk band ever, the legacy of their style, ascetics and self-run record label changed the face of music during the '80s, and continues to inspire today. So many other bands either released on SST (like Minutemen, Dinosaur Jr. Meat Puppets and even Sonic Youth) or else took inspiration from the label and the bands DiY style (once again, Sonic Youth) that it's hard to think what the indie music of today would be like without them. This EP is a great testament of American hardcore punk during the '80s, check it out.

im guessing punk to you is three power chords and nihilistic beliefs (OXYMORON) come on man don't act as if your the general surgeon of punk.just cause you think NOFX isnt punk doesnt mean it so and i know you will go on your own trip naming other punk bands like Caustic Christ, Sham or Crass or i don't know sub humans but im just saying punk never took a definitive meaning per say so don't force yout opinon unto others i know that's what a comment box is for but saying something isnt punk is like saying 'Hey this isnt cool and it doesnt appeal to me" a band not might speak to you and you may find it untraditional but maybe somebody think it's the bees' knees and has attitude and talent so keep your definition of punk to yourself FOo!

thats not the lead singers real name. or even in fact his nickname, itunes. the vocalists name is ron reyes. one of the best black flag front men that ever lived. wished he made more albums with black flag. :( . black flag told reporters that ron reyes nickname was chavo p******* because black flag was pissed that he quit.
  • Just about as close to perfection as you can get.

This 5 song Mini Lp is just amazing! "Jealous Again" is probably my favourite Black Flag song ever and the 4 other tracks are classics as well. This doesn't feature Keith Morris on Vocals, but the short lived front man Ron Reyes, who left Black Flag during the recording, only to come back and finish the vocal duties and then to move to Canada to be come a born again Christian. This recording is as good or if not better than the "Nervous Breakdown" Ep. Chuck Dukowski's bass playing is relentless and Robo's strong drumming go with Greg Ginn's aggressive guitar work. I would have loved to Hear more material with this line up. One of the best recordings any American band has ever made.
  • Jealous Again...

Every other punk band in the world should be JEALOUS that they didn't think of these songs first...
