This is hands down the best live album that I own or have ever heard, buy it now!

I spent many a solitary night wandering outside with this blasting through the headphones (on tape, in a knock-off Walkman); so often that this particular album came to embody the whole appeal of mid-80's punk to me (even though I've never really liked Henry Rollins), and it still does. A crucial recording.
  • One of my Top 5 Albums of All Time

I think this record gets a bad rap from most serious Flag fans, but it remains my favorite Flag album, and that's saying a lot considering a usually hate live CDs. Awesome mix of styles, from the free form guitar flow of Process of Weeding Out and I Won't Stick Any of You, to slow screamers like Nothing Left Inside, to straight out hardcore explosions in Slip it In and Black Coffee. Highly, highly recommended to anyone interested in the hardest rocking, most well respected touring band in rock music, and an excellent look into what it must have been like to see the eclectic Alpha and Omega of hardcore.

unless you were there to witness the mighty BF, and I was, you have no idea how awesome their shows were. I saw shows from this tour. Some of the best of my life. This recording, now available to all of you, was previously only available on cassette for a long time. My faves are prc of weeding out, three nights and nothing left inside.

This is a great live album of a great live band, as is their "Who's Got the 10 1/2?" The one thing that surprises me is that someone who bought this also bought an album by the All-American Rejects. Interesting. In any case, this is an excellent album and it's worth your money. Buy it!

Can anyone point me to a better cd for downright nasty live playing!? This Cd's recording is average (pretty decent for 84), but the playing is unbelievable especially when it comes to the guitar maestro! Purchase this and I would guarantee money well spent. If you don't want the entire album, shame shame, tunes to check out are "Nervous Breakdown", "I Can't Decide", "Fix Me" (insane guitar), the intense "My War", and "I Love You"
  • idk what og sk8r is talking about, this isn't emo...

...This is punk at almost its best! Henry Rollins, Bill Stevenson, Greg Ginn, and Kira playing in 1984, and Black Flag could not have made a better live debut, unless they did Rise Above. My picks: Slip It In, Jealous Again.
  • this is super good live. way better than Limp Bizkit.

Man, I can't believe people listen to crap like dashboard confessional and deathcab for cutie. This is way better emo, cause instead of cryin' about their emotions, black flag SCREAMS. Check out nothing left inside. That's how we feel inside. We don't feel like the Fray inside, we don't feel like AFI inside. We feel like black flag inside. And if you don't your not a human being anymore. YOur just a plastic shell with a credit card.
  • THE Black Flag show to have in your collection....

This show catches Black Flag at their height. With Rollins raging and Ginn wailing away on guitar the sheer intensity of the band is captured. The set kicks off with the band hitting "The Process of Weeding Out" which is the perfect intro for Rollins to hit the stage. Once onstage, the band busts through Nervous Breakdown, an energetic, furious song that definitely go the crowd going. From "I Can't Decide" the "Jealous Again" the band hits a furious stride leaving guitar riffs, screaming vocals and knocked out patrons in its dust. The final portions of the set run through some "new" songs at the time with the culmination of "The Bars" putting a bold exclamation point on this one. This concert is one that any beginning or veteran Black Flag fan should have because of the way it catches the spirit of the band at its crescendo. brenta26
