Minutemen are up in my top five favorite bands. This album has 18 songs, and runs in just at about 15 minutes. Every song is awesome. The formula was simple for these three guys from Pedro: 1. Start out with a kickin' bass line from Watt as D. yells out political banter. 2. After banter is over, D. joins in with his cool guitar part. Magnificent. 5 stars.

This is one of the best CDs in my collection right now. Every song is so packed with punk/new age funk that it is unbelieveable. Even though most of the songs on this record are under a minute they are still glorious. If you like Mike Watt (new bassist for the Stooges) in general then you might as well stick D. Boon and George Hurley with him. Believe me, music never got funkier in the 80s! Download: "Tension" or "History Lesson."
