I see this as a cleverly done piece on what a character can/should be, and the value of tropes. The music was just as well written as the rest of Shapera's work, and Osborne once again is phenominal (this time as Hellen). Henry the Alchemist's main number is also quite well done. Even the sheriff isn't as bland as he first appears. Though Shapera seems to want to present the original cast as a menagerie of tired tropes, he evidently can't avoid making interesting characters in the process. The Atompunk Opera and the Slenderman Musical were tough acts to follow, but the only thing that seemed off about the Cabaret was its tragically short length. Luckily, however, we should be getting a new installment in just half a year or so. Listen to it!
