This band is phenomenal. The lyrics are pure poetry and the bass lines are sublime. Seriously, that guy’s fingering is incredible. He plays the bass like it’s a lead guitar and I totally dig it.

Have to say that Future Islands have done again! This is such a great album, as a listener of their music from the start I'm a little confused at some of the negative reviews posted. Are these actual fans/listeners or posers just trying to rate down a great band?! Don't know what they're listening to, but I know that this is definitely the Future Islands music I love and have come to expect. Keep up the great work guys!

This album sounds very much like the earlier album "Singles". I am not sure why the iTunes chart shows the song "Ran" as the most popular sold when it seems very obvious to me that "Time By Her Side" is by far the best song on the album

Sure it sounds like them but this is a good record. It’s intense at times, melodic, bass heavy and beautiful written. FI has clearly come into their own.

I’m a huge fan and have all their albums, but this one basically boils down to low energy bland post-wave. What a waste of money. Stick to the older albums if you want to hear them at their peak effort. This album is just the same song played over and over again.

Fantastic album. Don’t listen to the haters, these guys are a breath of fresh air in a world full of mediocrity. The lyrics, his unique voice, and the band’s sound are superb. Highly recommended.

for all this nu 80's fans,check this band from spain call" La Union" with the song" lobo hombre en paris" a totally 80"s hit back then that sounds like this band ,the chord progressions,singing and bass lines.

It took until the 7th song before you got somewhat of a different synth beat at a slightly different speed. Feels like Future Islands is still hung over from the 2014 success and went back into the studio to fulfill a contract and put out a continuation of their previous ablum. Lazy attempt.
