I wasn't going to write a review but I noticed the iTunes review had an error in it that I wanted to correct. Tony Palacios was NOT a new member of the band for the Fire & Love release. Tony joined Guardian in 1986 so I doubt he would have been experiencing "growing pains" in 1990 during the recording of Fire & Love. Personally, I was EXCITEDLY awaiting this new release. I was familiar with Jamie Rowe from his days with Tempest, a somewhat obscure Christian metal band on the Pure Metal label. When I found out he had joined Guardian, I was floored!! Not only because I was sort of bored with Paul Cawley; Guardian's original vocalist, but also because I didn't really think Rowe mixed well with Tempest, which also featured Jamie's brother, Mikk. When Guardian announced Rowe was joining the band, it was the best of both worlds! A quality band, with an incredible vocalist. If you are in need of good ol'-fashioned hard rock with postitive lyrics, you've come to the right place. Rock on, Guardian, rock on!

This is the ultimate Christian Rock Album. Driving guitar, amazing rips, edgy voice. Great group with a huge heart for ministry.

This musically and vocally has got to be one of the best Christian Metal releases in the heavy metal genre. This would compete well against any fair assessment of any other metal band then or now. Another good thing is the "message" is not overwheming so you can take your metal and eat it too. bon appitite. Guardian made use of the very short period in Christian Rock that gave these bands a outlet to express their creativity and a market for that outlet. Guardian was one of the top in that they played well wrote well and didn't let the message get in the way of their music. Songs like "Fire and Love" and "Time and Time Again" show the range of the vocals and the driving power that mad Guardian a band to hear. Too bad just as Nirnona was reaching the charts, Christian music has reached its peak. Or that may be a reason that so many kids turned from metal to gunge because there was not way, at the time, Christians were going to participate in that movement. The best of Chirstian Metal happened from about 1987 to 1991, about a five year span. This band was in the middle of that!

This album rocks from start to finish delivering a great message. Jamie's vocals are powerful and by far the best christian rock of their day. Tracks like Forever and a Day and Never Say Goodbye stands as strong as the major rock bands of the eighties .I only wish I had the chance to see them in concert.

The best Christian hard rock band in the biz! Every song on Fire and Love is a classic. (At one point I played in a band named for the song The Rain) These guys can write and play! Jamie's vocals are power packed, Tony's guitar is sizzling and the rhythm section of Karl and David...well, there just wasn't any better. Miss these guys... We need a new Guardian record, boys! This music will wake you up and bless you. Thanks guys! Ed

This is Guardian's second CD and one of my favorites. Tony Palacios plays smokin' guitars and Jamie Rowe's vocals are great. It rocks and is another of my favorite CD's (OK, so I guess I have several favorites). Especially good are tracks 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, (okay, they're all good). Track 10, "Never Say Goodbye" is a great acoustic song that talks about how God is always with us, gave His Son for us, will never say goodbye. Great Rockin' CD with great message. Get It. :)
