My very favorite track is Johnny Jewel’s “Windswept (Reprise),” which supplies a moving meditation on the fate of Dale Cooper. “Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima” is utterly arresting even without the accompanying visuals from Part 9. Angelo Badalamenti’s “Dark Mood Woods / The Red Room” conveys foreboding and mystery with elegant restraint. Old Badalamenti favorites like “Twin Peaks Theme,” “Laura Palmer’s Theme,” and “Audrey’s Dance” are also included. For most of the Roadhouse performances and several other featured songs, check out this season’s other album, “Twin Peaks (Music From The Limited Event Series)."

My favorite song from the first two seasons is ‘The Nightingale’ absolutely stunning song, missed it in the new season! Also, more of the classical soundtrack could have been used in so many different scenes who only had styled background sounds instead of scores!

I could not help but be disappointed by The Return's sparing use of score throughout the series. I understand that Lynch was more interested in exploring the soundscape on a deeper level with electricity cracking and humming, but so many scenes that went silent would have benefitted greatly from the hours of Badalamenti's classic scoring. Having said that, now I am going to complain that this album contains too many old tracks that I already own. The new tracks that Badalamenti did record for this series are fine bits of atmospheric synth work, but I missed the jazzy exuberance of his original series and FWWM scores.

We exist in duality, but it's just a dream if we discover The One. 'Twin Peaks: The Return' is incredible, and this music is The Perfect Accompaniment. Beyond Dreamy.
