This is one of the best live albums you will ever hear. The band is tight, the set list is epic and the performance is both aggressive and passionate. I can't stop listening to this. It's impossible to note any highlights because the entire performance is a highlight. This live offering from the Replacements reveals their musical and lyrical genius in a live, intimate setting with all of the force and feeling you would expect from The Replacements. 5 out of 5
  • Way better than I thought it would be!

I'm still a big fan of the Replacements, but when I saw a live album arriving soon, I had a sense of dread. The only time I saw them live, In Pittsburgh, the show disntegrated at the end and we left in disbelief. Their reputation for drinking and being difficult was well known. But this is a revelation: each song is a gem, the playing spot on, the only rebellion the occasional shout of "MURDER!" It is only up to "Pleased to Meet Me," one of their best, but I must say, "Bravo!" and "Thank you."

This is peak Mats sound! Bob and Paul's interplay has never been rendered so clear. The setlist is stocked full of their great tunes. What a fantastic album. Thank you Mr. Bob Mehr and all involved. Oh, and thanks to those pesky trouble boys.

I've always liked the Replacements, but had never seen (or heard) them live. Wow. This makes their recorded work sound like the Lawrence Welk Show, circa 1963. I mean...WOW.

I guess I'm finally getting over the heartbreak of the last, aborted tour, because I'm buying this record and loving it. They're like the crazy ex you just can't get past.
