- Took a few listens to appreciate.

I downloaded this album out of respect for TMBG, one of my fav bands since early middle school, even though the songs I sampled weren’t catchy. Boy was I wrong. After 2 listens, I really liked a couple of songs and after three I loved most of them. These songs grow on you, like a wonderfully musical rash! (Insert humor here) I Left My Body is my stand out favorite, but I listen to the whole album when I listen to any of it, which is almost daily lately. Great job, Johns, from a TMBG lifer!

A great album. Been listening to them for 25 years now and this album did not disappoint. It’s a testament to how much these two love music that after 40 years together they still produce music of this quality and originality. Highly recommended.

There are only two types of songs on this album great and greater.
- Not back on it, Joe. Still on it.

TMBG is still great. How do they do it?? They are so ludicrously prolific, and yet never boring. I am loving this album which I am currently listening to for the third time today. Thanks for another wonderful album, Johns &Co.

Woah. This is dark. And no polka beat or lyrical wink to soften the 'fun.' This feels like a departure from all previous albums. They've made departures before and they've found yet another way to depart. Cloudy punk played by the twin quasars of rock.
Half the songs sound like siblings to Memo to Human Resources and the other half are some emotional and thematic rock rawness that is brand new to the band.
The feeling I get is if I ever met a famous comedian in real life and was laughing at everything they said and then they said, "No, I'm being serious."

The iTunes samples don’t do the songs justice, almost every song is a slammer. Tmbg have been releasing good albums for over 30 years, but this one is an instant favorite.
