    not as good as the original of course, but i do understand that this was meant to be played at schools. i do like carrie hope fletchers voice, and honestly, it will always be better than the riverdale remake lol

    I love the other album!!! The vocals are amazing and the actors are fantastic. This sounds like some cover some group of friends tried to sing in their garage. I think it’s awful. I would rather listen to kids bop music then this. But if other people like it it’s fine I guess...

    This musical and the movie it was created from were not meant to be easy to digest or restrained in any form. The original did try to tame it, for example restraining Veronica’s involvement with the murders so is not directly responsible for any deaths, and while this did remove severity from her response and recovery, the musical still managed to contain the energy and much of the harshness of the movie. However, in this new staging of Heathers, many of the substitutions and changes made do irreconcilable damage to the themes and power of what it is trying to convey. Many of the things that drew people, especially teens, to the musical originally are missing, and as more and more crucial pieces of this musical and it’s originating movie, which intended to make the viewer uncomfortable, are removed it begins to feel cheaper. At this point the themes which so many could relate to and understand are faded from what they originally were. Heathers lite doesn’t seem to understand what attracted people to the story and brought it such a continuing measure of success that the story has continued to be enjoyed for thirty years beyond face value.
