Very flawed and sometimes robotic sounding, but has moments of greatness.

This album does not even sound like it was composed by a human being, rather it sounds like you fed the original soundtrack into an AI, and this is what it spat out. That does not mean that this version of the soundtrack is bad necessarily, but it does mean that certain tracks "came out" better than others. My favorite parts of this album are when it improves upon some of the weaker offerings from the original, such as the "Mini Monkey Barrel", which is faithful to the original but sounds way less annoying, and has a softer and more innocent feel. Other songs sound like "copy and paste" clones with almost no differences from the original. Sometimes the results are better, sometimes they aren't. Finally, you have songs that were completely butchered, such as "Funky's Theme", which features legendarily awful percussion which sounds like somebody clicking and dragging their cursor across a Fruity Loops step sequencer. One huge problem to note about this release is that many of the songs are incorrectly titled, and certain tracks appear more than once. There was no care or QC it seems when they put this out. Additionally, for such a long and complete feeling tribute album, it seems very strange that certain tracks are omitted for no good reason. Why have only 5 of the 8 lobby themes? I could go on, but hopefully you get the idea. This is a very mixed bag of a release. Sloppily put together and incomplete, but it has its moments. For VERY hardcore DK64 fans only.

Hey this is great! I love donkey Kong 64 and a loved the variety of songs! My favorite are frantic factory, strong Kong and mad jack, keep up the great work!
