  • Not a Bad Album

This isn't the best album that they've put out, but it's a good collection of songs nonetheless. They experiment with a larger variety of sounds on this record while still keeping their alternative and reggae rock style on display. A few songs fall a little flat and merely take up space on the album, but that doesn't bring the overall project down too much. My favorite songs are "Is She Really Going Out With Him?" (a song originally by Joe Jackson) and "Mr. Bartender (It's So Easy)".

The best album ever!!! Sugar Ray has what it takes to make music and keep evolutioning. YOU GUYS ROCK!!! Don´t listen to anyone who has something negative to say about this album. It really and truly is one of their greatest. Take the time to listen and appreciate the genre of music that is being played.

I have been a Sugar Ray fan since Lemonade & Chocolate Brownies, but this album lacks any significant/original sounds that make it stand out from the rest of mainstream garbage these days. I'm sorry to say this, but this album is horrible.

Sugar Ray's beats and rhythms are some of the best in the game. With their classic upbeat and chill sound, Sugar Ray continues to release solid albums
  • Odd, but amazing!

There's only four reviews (counting mine) since 2003? This album is fantastic.
  • Good album that leaves some to be desired

I often consider the self-titled predecessor to this album to be the best Sugar Ray album, but if I had to choose a second best, this would definately be it. Unfortunately, in my opinion, that's not saying a lot, since the album has been overlooked or just plain ignored. The band continues the sound of the previous album here, and songs such as "Chasing you around", "Is She Really Going Out With Him", and "In Through the Doggie Door" should not be missed. Besides for that, in my opinion, the album falls short of what I feel the band strived to deliver. "Mr. Bartender" was an great song the first few listens, but I found myself listening to Midnight Star after those first few listens. Numbers eight and nine are not exactly what I would have expected from a Sugar Ray album, but unfortunately neither catch my attention and I often skip these songs. Nevertheless, I do feel that this album deserves more credit than it gets, because when I overlook the faults, it stands as one of the better Sugar Ray albums (I know there's only five plus a best of, but I hope you get my point).
