This album hits me in the feels! Yes, it’s not hard punk rock but I like the variety on the album! Very catchy!!!

"Rain in July/A History of Bad Decisions" put Neck Deep on the map for me. Up until "The Peace and the Panic," I was entirely invested. I thought "The Peace and the Panic" was a platform for development and growth, but now it seems, like others have noticed, it's just the direction they are going. Bummer for me, however the band is going to do what they are going to do.

Not sure what happened here. Such a forgettable album. A lot of the songs really blend together and sound the same. The lyrics seem to be missing a lot of the raw emotion that previous albums had. Hoping they bounce back from this.

Big fan and all for bands doing different stuff. But there's a lack of energy in these songs, like it's been mailed in. Other albums had this fiernce energy and a bit heavier sound that is missing. Plus these songs all sound kinda depressing. Hoping it was just a misstep and the next single/EP/Album is back on course.

They’ve created their own world and immediately conquered it
  • It Hurts To Notice That It’s Recycled

This album is composed of songs they’ve already dropped, mixed and matched together in higher registers. “Sonderland” sounds almost identical to “Where Do We Go When We Go” until the chorus which, to me, is the “Heavy Lies” chorus in a higher register, with different lyrics. There’s so much recycling throughout that it hurts as a fan that has listened to them almost daily for 8 years now. The second star is out of mercy because I want to like this, but I refuse to lie to myself and not acknowledge the lost potential.

Been a fan for years and I must say they truly outshine themselves with every release. This album is truly a work of art, every song reflects complex ideas via relatable concepts. I always looked forward to Neck Deep releases but this one truly blew me away. Impressed with their ability to convey so accurately and honestly how so many of us feel so often. Love love love!!!
