American Love Story

For all of the people complaining about political views... I listened to this amazing album once and was amazed, then on the second listen started to realize that there were some political ideas/beliefs because I purchased the album for the music first and foremost. While yes, there is some political stuff on the album, it is not the focus of the album. And, last I checked, you could like an album/artist whether or not you agree with the political ideology of the artist. Besides, it isn't like he is forcing ideas down your throat... he is making observations not telling you to go do something or change your life. like anothe reviewer notes, sit down and just listen beginning to end and take it all in... not just get upset because there are some political references

Terrible...not a song on here I’d listen to twice.

Love Butch, but would rather leave the politics behind. Feels like listening to Facebook posts over music. Bring back the slick, sarcastic, self deprecating, introspective stuff. Used to love to fun early Butch and M3 stuff, but now it’s “art” I guess.

3.5/5. It’s ok. I don’t know what adult alternative is though.

Man, oh man. this album is cringe-worthy. Been a Butch fan since the 90's, love everything he's done previously, but this is just too forced and soap-boxes. Probably should have spent less time Tweeting about politics and more time flushing out these songs... Gridlock is a phenomenal song, though...

Huge Butch Walker fan, have all his records on vinyl and digital and this one is no different, I respect this album so much. He has a story to tell and doesn’t hold back. Totally different from album to album and I love it! You never know what to expect from him except fantastic lyrics and a great experience.

Concept albums are hit or miss and Butch Walker absolutely nailed it on this one. When I first heard that he was doing a rock opera, I was skeptical, but Butch put together a fantastic record.

Butch has seen the world and met many different people, and the experiences made it into this album. The stories are kinda sad, but so is the world right now.

Take the time to really listen to this album. The whole album 1 sitting headphones and all front to back. Fantastic thank you butch
