Why can't we just enjoy the music for what it is, great music. Because there will never be another Tom Petty, the fact that this album exists is testament to the love many musicians have for his music, which should continue to be played by his fans long after he's been gone.

For those of you giving bad reviews because Lucinda doesn’t do Tom like Tom did, remember this is a “tribute” album. Truly Lucinda doing Tom’s songs in her own style. From the heart. Judging from that and this discounted price, I don’t feel like it is a “cash grab” but somethong she wanted to do. Personally, I loved Tom’s music and really like Lucinda. I find it a refreshing take on his music and fun to listen to.

This whole performance is a joy to listen to. Lucinda and her band are so tight on this set and it captures the thrill of a live performance (something sorely missed this year) while honoring the indelible songwriting of Tom Petty. A stellar set of performances!

Awful, just awful. Good lord, who thought this would be a good idea?

I gave it a listen, but yuck. Just a quick money-grab. Not enthused, not creative, not innovative or particularly soulful. Nothing to see (or hear) here.
