My Dad has this album, in actual album (LP) form, and I grew up listening to it over and over. I came to love the music on it and the incredible energy. Since then, I've looking long and hard to find another album to match it. I can't. Now, this may be just nostalgia or a preference for music I know. I don't think so. I challenge you to listen to this a couple of times and then find another Jazz / Dixieland record that combines the virtuosity of the players, the strong sense of what "works" musically, and just old-fashioned fun that you'll find here. This is the best of the jazz best, at the top of their game. It also includes three tracks that weren't on the LP. From the previews, these sound as good as the rest. Highly recommended!
