I didn’t think they would be able to top “The Valley” but they did. Not only is this their best album yet but “Kin” will go down as one of the greatest albums ever written in all of music.

My first White Chapel album. Saw them play with Hatebreed like 10 years ago and they put on a great show but I never really got into their albums. That being said, this album is incredible from start to finish. Lyrics, percussion, guitar work are all so good. Lost Boy brought me to tears the first time I heard it.
  • Absent of energy. Not a deathcore album

Bozeman’s clean vocals are impressive but the entire album lacks any punch or energy. Majority of songs are slow pieces. Disappointing follow up to The Valley, which was phenomenal.

KILLER! One of their best efforts! We all deal with inner demons, and sometimes we are lost and struggling on how to deal with them.. Thanks for sharing yours to help others deal with theirs. PEACE!
  • Still crushing it!

The album takes a different approach than previous WC albums. Lyrically, it’s more introspective and addresses mental health matters. The guitar tone and riffs resemble classic WC, but also add ethereal sounds. The drums are killer (of course), especially with Rüdinger behind the kit. Guitar solos are a symphony of chaos and control. Phil really shows his vocal abilities in this one. I’m not sure how long he has wanted to blend more singing with his screams, but wow. It’s amazing that he hasn’t displayed his singing abilities more. That being said; his growls and screams are still monstrous. Last but no least; yes the breakdowns are brutal. Can’t wait to see some of this material live!

not sure how i feel about this album, i love whitechapel, and i love the clean vocals mixed in and it’s what i was hoping for but kinda feel like there’s too much clean vocals, and just the songs themselves don’t feel as well written as the valley songs were
