Pressure Chief is another winner in the CAKE discography. It has some great, catchy techno-inspired beats, good songwriting as always, and plenty of memorable and catchy songs.

I listen to a lot of music. And for some reason this album takes the cake. haha. But SERIOUSLY I love this album "Tougher Than It Is" is so freakin' awesome and "End of the Movie" just makes me happy. It's simple. It's catchy. It's happy. It's young. Buy it. Get a shirt too. handshakes for happy

This album is Cake. Period. If your favorite album is Fashion Nugget, you might not agree, but if you're rooted in Motorcade, Buy it. You won't regret it.

For some reason John McCrea (lead singer) desided that it was a good idea to put synth into almost every song CAKE seems to be losing ther original sound that made me like them in the first place. I think they are trying to become more mainstream by making there music more "popular" sounding. If you wan't to get into CAKE start with "Prolonging the Magic" and go backwards In the catalog from there. they are a great band but this album really just left me... disatisfied.

I'm very pleased with the album and the album description. The reviewer is no longer being an a*s about Cake, yet it seems to be on their worst album yet. Not that it's a bad album, it's actually quite good - just not as good as their other stuff. But thanks for not being an a*s about it :)

I remember back the 90s when Weezer released their Pinkerton album. It was a total failure because it was so new and emotional. People weren't accustomed to the sound, and so they disregarded the album and called it crap. However, in my opinion, that is still their best album. Rivers put his whole soul in that album. He didn't write it to make money I think, he made it to make amazing music. This album, while not as good as Pinkerton, is a attempt by Cake to make a new sound. I actually think it's great. People are always turning down new because they want the old. I say in with the new! This doesn't sound as much like Cake from the 90s, but I think it's great music. 5 stars from me!
