as soon as i heard this song, i thought: "was this made for the show?"; nope! turns out, this was a song of its time: the 70s. i don't believe A Fifth of Beethoven was made in '76, there's no way; it sounds so modern, like a YouTuber could've remixed it, not some man from the time of activism in America and most of the world. - by: mico st⭐️ar holo, a man.
  • Great record, really bad mastering

Buyer beware -- the mastering on this is really, really bad. Sound quality is equivalent to listening to AM radio. If you want the record the way it should sound, you might want to check out Hot Shot Records remaster, which is available as an import CD. The collection here is five star music given one star mastering treatment.

It is still as good as it was when it first came out. I remember how good it was then and it will still blow most modern music away.

This record contains so much great music of so many different genres. The title track is a classic of disco, but there is also so much pure pop music on here. Obviously this guy was a first class songwriter. He really reminds me of Joe Raposo with his versatility. "Be Your Own Best Friend" and "Just a Love Song" are first class pop tunes... and of course there's a dance party's worth of disco tracks on here from "Flight 76" to "Midnight Express" and "Russian Dressing." Please don't underestimate this man as just someone who re-scores classical works to disco beats. He is so much more. This record refuses to be categorized and it is a real classic 1970's record. It exemplifies so many trends during the period.

I admit 5th is my favorite WM song. But, the better album of his is Rhapsody In Blue. The title song as well as It Ain't Necessarily So and Could It Be The Music won't allow you to keep your body still. You must dance! Please Walter & Itunes, offer us some of the extended/12" singles. I'd love to purchase these too.

This album gives a new meaning to classical music. It provides great classics, such as the fifth and flight of the bumblebee, and twists them to disco beats and rhythms. Great Music.
