She has been one of my favorites since she has come out. I love her voice, she should be on the charts. Great music!! This is a must buy.

If Rob Thomas (a gifted composer and performer for over 10 years) considers Toby Lightman worthy of being an opening act for his concert with Jewel, that's enough of a recommendation for me. Toby Lightman's got a great voice, full and controlled, with a smooth and soulful bluesy sound; she sings with sincerity and heart (much like Rob T). These are songs that people can sing along with, dance to, drive to, and enjoy romantic moments with. This iTunes reviewer was not only harsh, but clearly dismissive of Ms. Lightman's debut effort - not cool. Listen to Toby again and let her voice work its magic on your heart. Toby is right away one of my new favorite singers just from listening to the 30 sec. samples. I'm buying these songs immediately and checking out her other CD's as well.
  • Don't be fooled by the iTunes review, she is a kick- butt singer!

I realized right away that Toby Lightman had some amazing vocal chops. She is one of the most soulful singers I have ever heard and it's fun to sing her songs. I'm in choir and take voice lessons, so I'm getting pretty good at sounding like her! And each song is great.

Saw her in Dallas opening for Citizen Cope and was totally blown away with her presence and her ability to play the guitar and sing. She needs to be promoted harder. She is awsome and talented
  • Thoroughly enjoy "Little Things"

I had the pleasure of seeing her perform live for the first time when she opened for Rob Thomas and Jewel. She was amazing live so I got her CD and I'm glad I did. She is very talented, both lyrically and vocally.
  • Great entertainer!

I saw Toby in concert in Nashville. She did an amazing job! Loved it! She said her next album comes out this summer. Can't wait to hear it.

I had never heard of this artist until I saw her open for James Blunt. Her talent as a musician and songwriter really come through strong if you see her live. Ignore the "professional" review of her album. If you enjoy originality that isn't pre-processed like most music today...you'll enjoy her music.

I read the review of this album, and I was disappointed at their view of this album. Personally, I think Toby's style is funky and she has a fantastic, soulful voice. All of the songs are exciting and creative. I love the acapella "Little Thing", and I can really relate to the lyrics of "Everyday", which talks about pretending to be a person that you're really not. My personal favorite is "The River". It has fantastic lyrics and a haunting melody. Unfortunately, she hasn't been in the media very much, but I really hope she will be. This is a talent you don't want to miss out on!
