Danny Elfman has been on my $h!t list since his horrendous score for Josstice League (and thank God we finally got Junkie XL’s score with ZSJL). He has yet to recover from that giant misstep, and this score isn’t doing him any favors. There’s nothing memorable from this at all after watching it. In fact, the trailer music is more engrained in my head than this drivel. Elfman was fantastic in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. But to quote Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman from one of his best films/soundtracks ever: “Maybe you should retire.”

Love how unique and dynamic this score is. I would have loved more incorporation of the characters’ original themes, but really enjoyed this fresh take as a companion to the movie.
