Been a fan since I heard Reasons for Living on the ER soundtrack. Phantom Moon is my number one favorite album of all-freaking-time. White Limousine and Whisper House are underrated masterpieces. Sure, I was just a bit disappointed when Claptrap was pushed back from July 29 to August 26, but that just makes me even more excited to listen to the full album. Experience and Maybe are already standouts. I saw him in New Orleans in 2002 supporting Daylight and sharing the bill with Ben Folds, and I felt bad that I didn’t watch him perform because I wanted, nay, needed Sheik to sign my copy of Phantom Moon and I still have it to this very day. It’s my most prized possession despite having three wonderful nieces and a nephew. They know I love them, but they also know that I love the singer and songwriter of songs like Far Away, Hey Casanova, Shine Inside, Foreshadowing, This Is How My Heart Heard, House Full of Riches, Mirror in the Heart, Good Morning!, Mouth on Fire, On a High and this little song called Barely Breathing. (The 3-star rating is just a formality. I’m more than pretty sure it’ll be five stars after my first listen).
