The first rock band I’ve ever listened to ends up being my favorite band! And this is it! I love “chemicals” and “another place”. I jam to them almost all the time plus “ along the way”. This is one of the best albums I’ve ever listened to! Thank you Demon Hunter!

I usually can get through a whole album or half of a album from Demon Hunter. But,this album I found myself skipping almost of the songs besides one. The mixing felt very off and inconsistent then the songs themselves felt very slow and dull. I hope the next album is better and more powerful than this.

October can’t come soon enough great songs so far haters gonna hate. Dang it they delayed the release till October 28 will be worth the wait I own all their albums yes they are Christians that’s a silly question if people are that worried then don’t listen to it seriously. I wouldn’t say any of these are slow except praise the void along the way might be chemicals probably a banger Devotions slower Richie Faulkner is Judas Priest not Alice In Chains. But the song sounds Alice In Chains influenced. Exile rocker probably sleepwalker a ballad. I also preordered issues 2 3 and 4 of the comics. Also Project 86 working on a double album stryper new album out next month too people are intitled to they’re opinion

I’ve been a fan of Demon Hunter for a while. There’s a few solid songs but the rest lost my interest pretty quickly. This isn’t their best effort.
  • Got me into DH!!

This album is fantastic!! I wouldn’t say it is their best album (I don’t know which one is though), but it is just perfection. Heaven Don’t Cry and Master are two songs that have the heaviness of some of their past songs but with clean vocals which I think is really cool. Those two got me into DH! I think Devotion, Heaven Don’t Cry, or Defense Mechanism might be my favorites of this album, it’s just really METAL!

I’m so amazed with the growth of this band, every single song is a MAJESTIC ANTHEM. Definitely my album of the year in 2022 & probably my favorite from DH in general…I mean holy moly, especially with the deluxe edition you get SO MUCH MORE CONTENT THANK YOU DEMON HUNTER🙌🏻❤️
  • Evergrey Jr?

Fit For a King can be said nowadays to be a junior version of As I Lay Dying, but as of this album Demon Hunter could become a junior version of Evergrey (and not because Tom S. Englund is featured on the exceptional Silence the World). The album remains, apart from a couple of mid songs, strong through and through, and Demon Hunter remains consistent. They should endeavor for an album more along the lines of say True Defiance or Summer of Darkness, because there isn’t enough screaming here or ragers.

I am very confused by all the the great reviews this album is getting. Demon Hunter has always been about the aggression, and that’s barely what this new album even is. I’ve listened to every album Demon Hunter has ever made and this one is the most disappointing of them all.
  • This is not boring!

Some people have said Exile is too mellow as if Demon Hunter hasn’t done that before, but they have and have never been bad at it. I listen to extreme metal, heavier stuff, and I say that even in their slower moments they are still metallic, having an Alice In Chains-type grunge metal sound. Is Exile a bit mellow, certainly, but it’s not like there isn’t any heavy songs, there are, even among some of the less intense songs. Plus, it’s a concept album so there’d be some more of those songs to relate the story. It’s not as crushing as True Defiance and Extremist, but it’s still heavy a lot of the time! For the first time since World Is a Thorn, guests are featured: Max Cavalera of Sepultura and Soulfly fame, Tom S. Englund of Evergrey (one of the best singers I’ve ever heard), and Richie Faulkner…of Judas Priest; still can’t believe that one. All cameos are epic. Standout songs among the very solid collection are Silence the World, Master, Godless, Devotion and Praise the Void; the bonus tracks Sleepwalker and Exile are fun too. It’s a fine record, best of the year besides Becoming the Archetype’s Children of the Great Extinction (of course!), and possibly one of the band’s best, with heaviness in the right places and solid construction throughout. Independence is looking good on them.
