  • A spiritual gift

This is one beautiful album. I have this in my CD player and just put it on repeat in the morning or when I'm meditating. When I first heard this I wasn't sure exactly what to think, there really is a lot going on and then all of a sudden it came together like a puzzle that fit perfectly. The different threads of culture and language are subtly tied together as if of one uplifting energy. Brilliant.

I first heard "Ocean of Mercy" by Jaya Lakshmi and fell in love quickly. I was afraid to listen to "Jewel of Hari" for fear that it just wouldn't stand up to it's predecesor. I was SO wrong! This album carries the same passion and spirituality and continues the journey of introspection. This is another beauty and I can't wait to hear what she does next!!

Straight from heaven, this album brings joy and delight. A masterpeice of harmony. Perfect for yoga or meditation I am always thrilled to share it's energy with others. Lakshmi is, in my book, absolutly amazing!
  • Jaya Lakshmi’s voice is like a jewel

Jaya Lakshmi’s voice is like a jewel among the sounds of the traditional East Indian instruments that fill this album with enchanting chants to the Divine. Although she sings in both English and Sanskrit with religious devotion, it matters not the language, because her voice is both vibrant and uplifting. My favorite song on the album is Sundara. I recommend playing this album for yoga and as great background music for a mystical event.
