  • What happened?

I don’t have an issue with Eddie’s vocals. But it’s like the guitar work has become so generic. The first three albums had creative hooks and riffs, but it’s like all the creativity is gone. The self titled was better than these last two albums.

Jesus what happened to these guys? I grew up listening to them, they actually were the first group that got me into extremely heavy music back in the early 2000s. I give them a star just see they actually keep trying to make music. It’s sad to see that they are just not what they used to be musically wise sense Mitch passed.

Im hoing to start off by saying that I've been a huge fan of SS with Eddie on vocals, I even love their self titled Ross Robinson album. Their last album Becom the Hunter was a 10/10 but this one is actually really bad. You can tell that the song writing was rushed and over uninspired. There arent any signautre riffs on this album like there are on their previous ones, and there arent any catchy vocal hooks either. There are only 2 songs that I like which are "F***ed for Life" & "Alter of Self" whch is by far the key track of the album. Hoping their next release is better...

I’ve tried a few times to get through the whole album and everytime by track 7 I can’t listen anymore. Every song sounds the same, there is no creativity and overall a snore fest. I went into this album with an open mind and came out disappointed. Time to close the book on SS!

I’d rather listen to a group of cats getting eating by a honey badger then listen to this nonsense. Booo!!
  • Should have stopped

It all went downhill after the tragic passing of Mitch, should have called it quits or renamed the band.

Sick album from top to bottom! Every song is so brutal and reminds us that Suicide Silence are the kings of their domain!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
  • Cheap lyrics

It would be 4 stars if it weren’t for the cheap lyrics lazy. Anti god in metal is just low lying fruit and over utilized. Annoying. Great album other than the lyrical landscape.

Become The Hunter was a return to form while also being a progression. We started to see their early brutal death metal influences. On this new banger, those influences are much more prominent and it sounds fantastic. Deathcore Suicide Silence is great. But this Devouremt/Suffocation updated version of the band is a whole new beast.
