This album is all over the place! So much fluff I feel like I’m on the set of a porno film!

SOTS have always been good. They don’t have a bad record, I’ve always liked them but they’ve lacked that “repeat listen” factor of some of their peers. With Amongst The Low and Empty, that has definitely changed. Not only is this my favorite record from them, it’s one of my favorite deathcore records of the year. Dream killer and pray for death are two definite stand outs. If you like deathcore/death metal at all you need to spin this.

I feel like Crown Magnetar really nails their new one because they were already suited for the tech death sound from the beginning. SOTS started out slam, which was brutalicious, but seems like they’re trying too hard on they’re new one to sound tech. I’m super into Vital Dep and Disfigurement of Existence but started to lose it at Absolvere
- New direction, new success.

New direction is so unique, finally found something that works, Davys vocals were always top tier he just needed the band to catch up after the line up changes.
