CR pulled me in and I became a country fan after a freind gave me his album to play. And this is coming from a guy who grew up up in NYC primarily listens to hip hop. Thank you Charlie for opening up whole the world of country to city like me.

have followed chuck for a long time truly one of those texas artist that just never seem to get the proper due. a great singer song writer along the lines of radney foster, lee roy parnell, james ingram,and joe ely just to name a few under stated artist that need more props!!!!!!!!!

Every one of Charlie's albums are homeruns but i think this one takes the cake as his best. My Hometown is my all time favorite country song. Sunset Blvd and Loving Country are stories within a song and Indianola and Molly's Blues are underrated, fantastic songs. Since Itunes hasnt released the whole CD, go buy the whole thing somewhere and enjoy.

I love this album, I listen to all kind of music but never much country. My friend made me listen to loving county and i was hooked. Anyone who like great song writers like bob dylan or The boss do your self a favor and buy this mans music. i hope he eventually get the respect he is due!!!! this is just a great piece of Americanna Music .

For my money, this is Charlie's best albums and one of the top 20 Country albums of the past decade. The is a great mixture of music and songwriting, highlighted by one of the greatest country songs every recorded, "Loving County." Charlie is not one of my favorite songwriters or performers, I'll take REK, Chris Knight and Ryan Bingham over him anyday. However, the brilliance of this album is so often overlooked, it is criminal.
