I grew up on Trapt and loved a lot of their early stuff. Rock songs with big, energetic hooks and ballads that were layered in so many ways. Their later stuff has definitely been more mellow but there's always been a couple gems, including some cuts off Shadow Work. But this? I don't even know what to call it. The music sounds bored and the lyrics are uninspired. It's an actual slog to listen through. Even in the music videos, everyone just looks like they're going through the motions. What happened to this band that used to tear the house down? This "teaser" makes me look forward to skipping this album.

Up until this current batch of songs trapt was always my favorite. For some reason the sound quality of these is trash. The songs may even be ok but they are hard to listen to. I wish the band would keep making music but closer to their old sound. “Only through the pain” will forever be one of my favorite cds.

All the lead singer Chris talks about is being “shadow banned” online since he’s openly supported Trump. He has some obsession with literally mentioning it all the time and goes on rants about why he’s not more successful. No one cares about that really dude. The fact of the matter is that these new songs are hot garbage and you’re washed. That’s why you don’t have more followers and more likes. Drop the conspiracy nonsense. Headstrong was your peak and it’s always been downhill from there. I wish it wasn’t because I enjoy good music, but this ain’t it
