People have no patience anymore... I really wish they wouldn't allow reviews until the whole album is released... Tombstone is one of their heavier songs of all time... Wage War has multiple styles and blends sub-genres all the time, they have for years..

Trolls are everywhere today, mostly guys/gals/trolls that listen to nonsense instead of Rock/Metal, this is Rock/Metal to me. Nail 5 is the Metal song to me. Some of these trolls may not even listen to Rock/Metal at all. Magnetic is not my favorite out of these two and is the cringe one to me. Popular opinion is the reason we can’t have nice things.

I’ve listened since Empires, I LOVED Blueprints, Deadweight was very good, and then everything seemed to come off the rails. Good for them for tapping into the higher populated radio/buttrock fan base. They seem to be doing well, and I’m not being facetious, good for them. I have lost respect, though. This stuff is beneath them and I think deep down they probably know that.

Not be a hateful like Richard, but definitely not what I was expecting. WW has some serious f-ing bangers in the past, just don’t think these two singles are hitting it.

Honestly, the past couple albums for me personally were a let down after Blue Prints, and Dead Weight. The first single off this album was generic radio friendly ca-ca. Nail5 is awesome. Gave me a lil IPrevail vibe/Self Destruction. Hope more of Nail5 sound, and less Magnetic.

The two singles are strong and great, yet haters do what they always known from their parents. If y’all know what’s good then make a band and do better than Wage War. If not, shut up and do something productive in life.

Ridiculous how some basement dweller could 1 star this... It's simply not true, and how pathetic to waste time raining on someone else's parade...
  • A shame

Wage War isn’t my favorite band ever but they were always super consistent for me. All 4 albums have been amazing in different ways and have a lot of lyrical relevance to my life. So it kills me to say that these two singles are just not doing it for me at all. Magnetic is a super generic metal song that isn’t BAD but it’s not what I’ve expected from the band. And Nail5 is really cringy to me. The whisper drone voice worked really well in Manic because it was the build up to a heavy chorus, it made sense because it was depicting a man going crazy and finally snapping at the chorus. But in Nail5 the drone singing IS the chorus so it’s repeated over and over and over again to the point of nausea. And then the loose song structure is cool and original but the lyrics are somewhat in one ear and out the other on this one. It just seems like Wage War have lost the spark for this record. I don’t harp on them like others do about Pressure and even Manic for some. I think all 4 albums up to this point have been fantastic. But I’m worried that 2 songs out of 10 are not being well received and with only 8 left to go and at least 1 more single and therefore one more chance to right the ship I’m not sure what will happen with this album. Could see my first disappointment from Wage War. When the album drops I will edit my review but for now I’m doing 3 stars as to not hurt the overall score.
