I recently dusted off this CD and listened to it on a road trip. I'd forgot just how good this band was. There are no fillers in this collection, just a round up of NRPS's great tunes.

I would like to know the other reviewer's age. I love these songs and the whole California twist on the country music genre that the Riders, Commander Cody, the Flying Bburrito Bros., Ricky Nelson, Pure Prarie League and others put out in the early 70's. For one thing, it was flat out fun, dance, sing-a-long music. If you ever saw the New Riders and Commander Cody perform outdoors where everyone had there own cooler and maybe some herb, then you can appreciate the music and the trip down memory lane. Boy or girl, you probably went home with someone after those concerts. These bands and songs were and still are just plain fun. If you can't sing along to "Henry," "Panama Red," and Glendale Train you must have laryingitis. This may not be the best "greatest hits" album but the music and the band stand up for us aging baby boomers at least. They were popular during the best part of my life and I love to listen to them again.
