I first heard "Stars" while working on an old car in my parent's garage when I was in high school in Whittier, CA. I was hooked immediately and went out and bought the Home Free album. I can't believe "Stars" doesn't even make Fogelberg's top 50 list on i-tunes. It's an amazing song that still has a place in my top favorites list. When you listen to it, you would swear Crosby, Stills and Nash were singing backup. Anyway, listen to it a couple of times and it will be one of your favorites too.

I always think of "To the Morning" on these crisp autumn mornings. What beautiful music Dan made while he blessed this Earth with his presence.

Bought the record in 72 on the advice of the record store employee. Best advice ever, I still love to listen to this masterpiece. It brings me back to earth and reminds me of the good old days.

Being only 16 ive never heard of Fogelberg in my life until a couple weeks ago while i was flipping through my dad's records. The cover caught my eye after a few flips through and i threw it on my record player and was blown away. Music was so much more meaningful and influential back then. Definitely reccomending Fogelberg to my friends who fortunately are like me, trying our best to keep rock alive by bringing back the good stuff from the generation before us. Great album.

I fell in love with Dan's music back in 74 at an Eagles concert. As much as I loved the Eagles music, I'd have been quite happy had they never came on stage. Sorry Eagles. As for Richard Foss and Bruce Eder of All Music Guide? They have no clue! But then I've never known a critic that did. Dan rocks and always will! Ever On Dan. Your music is your living legacy to us all. See you in Heaven when my time comes.

As a teenager in my angst in the mid-late 70's, This album brought me through the worst of days and showed me the way to accept and move on. Dan Fogelberg will forever be My True Friend. I have already made my almost grown child promise me that "To The Morning" will be played when I meet my maker. Because There is Always Tomorrow! That what Dan sang to me... God Bless the man that gave me years and years of love! Will Love Him Always!

As a young man fresh out of college in 1972, I happened on this album in a local record store. I had never heard of Dan Fogelberg, but as a photographer, I was instantly drawn to the artwork on the album cover. When I read that there were strings played on the album and viewing that beautifully, peaceful photo of a country steam on the back...I thought it would be worth the purchase. I don't think I've truly enjoyed an album as much since. I was so thrilled with it that I immediately called a good friend of mine who played Bass in a great college band. I made him listen to the entire album over the phone and he too was hooked. It's so sad to think that such a wonderful poet and musician are lost so soon. Thanks for the music, Dan!!
