Gossip Diet

These are not the kind of songs that you listen once and forget you own. I just recently found out that Lotus Child exists and every time one of their 2 songs that I have comes on (my favorite being Kate) I get really excited. :) One of my new favorite bands!!!!

This CD is great. Just when you think things are sounding a little repetitive you hear a song totally different from the previous. So this leaves me with one last thing to say, Dear Lotus Child, HURRY UP AND PUT OUT ANOTHER ALBUM Love, An impatient fan

I just want to say that I love Lotus Child's style. I had never heard of them until I stumbled upon this album by pure chance or luck I guess you could say. My favorite song has to be Swedish Girl but Lids is a very close second. I love them both. Listening to this album makes me wonder why I have never heard these songs on the radio. Best of luck to Lotus Child and keep writing great songs....I will be telling everyone I know to listen to this CD.

Great album

Beautiful, evocative melodies...soulful lyrics...some love songs...some songs of lost things. This is a remarkable album by a band with a small but loyal following. Everything comes together here with great musical craftsmanship, each tune a story unto itself with twists and turns, syncopated and driven rhythms. A wonderful work, well worth listening to over and over. I wish these guys would play the US east coast, but I'll be patient.

On a truly superb album (5-stars), for each passing week a different song becomes my favorite until every song has been "the best." Gossip Diet is almost a 5-star album. My "favorite song" has been: Coelacanth; Run Away, Persephone!; Archaeologists; Gossip Diet; Whitechapel Station; Lids; and Kate. Lotus Child, although poppier than the groups in the following list, remind me of: The Arcade Fire (Archaeologists); Spoon (Gossip Diet); Phish (Coelacanth); and some 90's alt. rock band that is like Collective Soul, but not Collective Soul (Swedish Girl). It surprises me that this alubm isn't more popular; I guess it does not have enough indie sound (I'm thinking of Wolf Parade) to catch the Pitchfork mass, and it doesn't have enough sexual references to catch the mainstream crew. It's unfortunate that so many people are missing out. ..... Oh, and I highly recommend starting with Coelacanth.

WOW you guys are great , i remeber when you came out with your fist album,Lotus Child EP, one of your dads gave it to me In Vancouver , about 5 years ago when i was about 12, anyways you have all gone a really long way. Good luck for the future best regards
