I bought this album in 1995 for the sole purpose of getting the song done with Pearl Jam. Little did I know that this album of collaborations was so ahead of its time. From the Groovy funk laid down by Mike with The Beastie Boys on "E-Ticket Ride" right through the 12 + minute guitar romp "Maggot Brain" there is no disappointment. Once in a while you come across an album where every track is awesome. This is one such album.
  • A definitive collection for 90's alternative

This album brings back memories. I remembered how fresh the songs sounded when I first purchased it in the 90's, and these songs still have a fresh sound. There is a wide variety of excellent artists at work here, and often sounding differently than what we are used to from them. Terrific music with a twist, and a little bit of an informal, garage-band sound that suggests these folks had a good time putting this music together.
