The first record from this outfit as a three piece slams ya, jams ya, and smokes ya. RS has dirty, bluesy stomp songs about Steel Skies, Slow Trains, and Collisions. Then the trio also dives into Beatlesque territory for the first time with A Lot of Love Around (an influence that carries heavily into their next record Grace & Melody). The self-produced disc is raw and has an unforgiving live vibe, just like so many classics before it. Just get it.

I'm not being biased when I say this album rocks! I say that because I am the neice to Joe Winters. This album has a little something for every one, and I'm sure people will be pleasantly surprised at what this band is and will become(:

Steepwater band is awsome! From the riffs to the solos to the drumlines they rock. I recommend "dance me a number" as a really good song with a smoother sound

Dear me. Oh my! Steepwater...they're f'n fantastic, people! Buy the album! The hard copy. With the plastic stuff and paper liner and lyrics and pictures and things. Steepwater Band has been playing hard for years, and it's worth the price for the ticket. See them. Buy their swag, and dig on those sweet, sweet guitar licks. JUST BUY IT!!! Okay, I guess you could buy it from itunes, too, but really...who does that? Buy it!

Excellent Record! Chicago's finest has released an outstanding effort. Solid from beginning to end. The guitar tones and solos are amazing, while the drums and bass roll steady as thunder. A must have for any fan of real American Rock & Roll.

It's relieving to hear a record like this nowadays. These guys are blues/rock to the core, and they are a great live band, no doubt about it. They stopped by Muncie, IN for a show, and it was amazing. My favorite tracks: Mercy, Revelation Sunday, Dance Me a Number, Steel Sky, Indiana Line, and Baby, You're On Your Own. The guitar part in Dance Me a Number? Sheesh. It's freakin' great. I'm definitely gonna' see these guys again. You should listen to this record, then find a show they're playing. They've got a website. Well...get goin'.
