An amazing rocker covering amazing songs? Sign me up. Joan has that voice to make every one of these songs great. While I’m not a huge fan of covers, this album works.

Song number seven seems to be missing, making the iTunes music player say there are nine songs when ten is the number listed in iTunes. I'm not sure what caused the error, but it seems like something that could be easily fixed. Is it possible for whomever uploads the music to iTunes to put up song number seven?

This album illustrates that Joan Jett can do more than scream and grunt. 'Love Hurts' and 'Celluloid Heroes' showcase her vocal skills and her ability to inject some emotion into the lyrics, while she rocks out with 'Pretty Vacant', 'Roadrunner USA' and 'Tush'. 'Love Me Two Times' is every bit as raw and sexy as Jim Morrison's version. It is worth noting that all of these songs were originally made popular by male bands or vocalists. There are not many female artists who can (nor have the guts to) cover a bunch of guy hits. While the apple store reviewer advises newer JJ fans to check out some of her earlier works in lieu of 'The Hit List', I respectfully disagree. I came into the JettHead fold just recently and, as my review title says, this CD is one of my faves.

Joan's version of "Roadrunner" is my favorite. You can hear and feel the joy of the whole band.

there are some people who were born to rock & roll, Keith Richards, Keith Moon, Joey Ramone, John Fogerty all come to mind...Joan Jett is in this same group..started out as a 16yr. old kid in the Runaways, to her hit making years in the 80's, to inspiring legions of punk riot grrls, to respected elder stateswoman (sorry Joanie:-)..this chick can and always has ROCKED!!

This is a really good album. i like the songs that she covers, particularly "Tush" and "Time Has Come Today" on this album, but i also like the songs that she wrote when she was with the Blackhearts. Joan Jett is one of the few artists that doesn't completely destroy the songs that she covers.

Uhm, not to bother anyone that works for iTunes, but note that "Dirty" is spelled as written, not "Dirthy".
