- NOT a Sleep Little Album

One of my favorite songs on this album that paints new pictures in my mind every time I listen to it is Sleepy Little. This song showcases all that makes Willy one of my favorite musicians. Move from this on to Set Yourself Free and like many of Willy's tunes you go from beautiful to something that makes ya wanna do a little rump shake.

We just saw Willy live in St. Louis. I know Leo Kotke was a great influence in his guitar playing, and let me tell you, Willy has mastered his style very well. He is a personable, warm, sincere, approachable performer. One of the best shows we have seen!

The first time I heard Willy Porter was at the Pabst Theatre in downtown Milwaukee while visiting for a conference. Immediately, I was a HUGE FAN!
On Available Light, the full-band sound backing Willy only adds tremendous depth to the work of a musical genious strong enough to stand on it's own with just a singer/songwriter standing on stage with his guitars. Willy's tender voice, gentle-yet-strong personality, and emotion pour into every track of this masterfully done work.
It's not like a lot of music you've likely heard before, and raises the bar for singer/songwriters everywhere.
- Another great effort by Willy Porter

Willy Porter continues to amaze us with his masterful acustic guitar playing, and soulful lyrics. This album shows off his touring band more so than previous albums. Willy is still at his best with guitar on stage solo. but these arrangements rock out a bit more with his band.

Willy Porter is the man! Finally a singer-songwriter that can groove! Best to see him live and alone to see what one man can do with just a voice and a guitar. This guy is acoustic music's best kept secret!
