  • A Little Bit Beatles, A Little Bit Arcade Fire, Lotta Bit Fun!

It's not often that I call music fun. But Castledoor's debut EP certainly is. Stylistically, I would classify them as a well rounded mix of Beatlesque with an Arcade Fire filter, without sounding overly derivative. Great music for good times, and long car rides on sunny days.
  • Great Indie Band!

I first saw this band in 2008 at Sunset Junction. Their set was cut to 20 minutes because the band before them went way over their time. Castledoor rocked those 20 minutes though, and I was determined to see their next show. I finally saw them last night, and their full set was awesome. I even met Nate after the show and found he is truly a great, friendly guy in addition to being a great frontman. On this album, Magnetic Forces is my favorite, although Burn the Maps, Remember When, and Birds and the Fleas are very solid songs. Great job guys - keep it up!

A good friend of mine gave me this album a couple of years back and told me the background, how some of the members were in 'plus one'. I looked that band up and decided that I wouldn't like this album either. Recently I uploaded it to my Ipod and started listening to it at work, and Wow, these guys are amazing. I would recommend this album to anyone. My choice music is death metal, but I think these guys are great. That should say something about this album, lol, if a metal head gives a pop album 5 stars.
  • why don't they have a record deal??

i'm so annoyed that castledoor isnt being paraded to the masses. There are so many crappy hits on the radio, and the gems aren't given enough credit, its so twisted. Someone should give them a record deal and a world tour

yeah yeah yeah! YES! Nate Cole is my favorite member of Plus one, either that or Nathan Walters, I love Plus One and I'm glad to find that even though Plus One stopped the members, cept Jeremy Mhire are still making my ears glad!

Just saw these guys in LA with Tilly and the Wall. Went home and bought the album after they put on an amazing show. All elements combined for an awesome show, especially the drummer. I was super impressed by his style and dedication. The lead singer gave some great advice;) I am telling all my friends. I do hope these guys get signed soon.

I can't remember where I heard of these guys, but I really like this album. A nice little piece of indie pop. Looking forward to hearing more from them in the future!

This album pays for itself ten times over. I fell in love with Castledoor's grand sound and every nuance. The melodies and lovely piano-playing are wonderfully pleasing. Castledoor deserves to be all over the music blogs!

At a concert sponsored by 103.1 at the Hammer in Westwood this summer, I heard Castledoor for the first time, and I loved them. They played Burn The Maps, Remember When, and Magnetic Forces, among others, and I can honestly say that they sound the same live, which is rare and remarkable in today's music industry. I also appreciate their meaningful lyrics, specifically the message of Burn The Maps. As I live far from California and may never see them again live, I was excited to find them on iTunes. They deserve a major record deal.
