The Guilty Demos

As more of a Barbra Streisand fan than Bee Gees/Barry Gibb fan, I'm thoroughly pleased with the release of the Guilty Demos. Top notch audio quality and containing songs not performed by Streisand on GUILTY! She maintained a belief and faithfulness in interpretation during her recordings, which probably wouldn't have been possible without these excellent demos.

The key word here is demo-these are what Barry gave to the record company so they could hear what he and his brothers had written for Barbra to sing. These are the bare bones. They are so incredible. Many artists would be proud to have these as a finished album. They show Barry's great vision as a songwriter and producer. He has been so underated over the years because of the disco stigma and that is truly sad. So many great songs from a great man. Thanks Barry!!!!

Would have never guessed that it was a guy singing these songs. Kinda sounded like a frightened chicken...

If only Barry kept these songs for himself or the Bee Gees. This would have been a great follow-up to falsetto driven Spirits Having Flown. Every song is first class. Babs should thank Barry Gibb once a year for this masterpiece!

What a great find!! Although I still like Barbra's better, I love Gibbs (all of them) and enjoy hearing these. It should be noted that "Carried Away" was given to Olivia Newton-John to record for the Physical album. Her version is pop perfection.

Being A Huge Barry Gibb Fan I Had To Buy This Demo But Unless You Are A Huge Gibb Fan I Would Not Buy It. Streisand's Guilty Is Much Better It's The Same Songs But With barbara And they Sound Much Better

I heard these Demos back in the 80's..and I nearly fell off my chair! I, along with Barry's many fans, appreciate him issuing these tracks...Barry is leading the way, in the 21st.Century! Barry, they sound just as great as they did back then.Thank you for considering the Fan..I am hoping one day we can hear more, especially the Bee Gees. Can you imagine hearing the Demos for Saturday Night Fever? Dust them off, Barry! And special thanks, from your fans.

There is little doubt, Barry Gibb is one of the greatest songwriters and singers of all time. And this, is one of the reasons. Just listen to the words, vocals and the production of these songs.

This collection defines and shows why Barry is one of the all time greatest writers, singers. His powerful falsetto is so powerful that it sends Chills through your body. The songs are crafty and well written. No wonder Barbra Streisand had such success with these songs.
