If you're here, reading this, you know what you want: the amazing soundtrack to a somewhat average action-adventure RPG.

Secret of Mana may just be my favorite game of all time and its soundtrack will always bring me back to that charming game from 1993. It's presented here in all its original glory—no alterations, no upscaled orchestrations. 44 nostalgia-inducing songs guaranteed to take you back in time if you're a fan of the original game.

Didn't know this was available... Buying, will listen to it while glass blowing tomorrow. Lots of inspiration and memories will undoubtedly be present. This was a very rare A+ of a soundtrack and game.

I spent a 2 week stint in the hospital when I was 13. They had a movable cart with an SNES (10 years ago, BTW) with some games but not this. My cousin had on he let me borrow since there was more than 1 cart by each of the games was connected. Using his copy I played through and bear it. During the final boss (Dark Licht, music is the Oracle. The actual final is a gimmick battle) a nurse came in and wondered why my blood pressure was a bit high, saw me with my "total focus; I probably wouldn't notice if someone walked in" face and said "Ah! Gotcha!" or something and left. This long story has a point. I don't remember why I was even at the hospital but I remember the game and especially the music. I've replayed it through again 4-5 times since and still love the music and game. My only fear is if people get the game for the iPhone they won't be able to appreciate it much due to the inherent problems virtual controls always have. If you have a Wii I hear that you can buy it there on the Virtual Console with a classic controller. Maybe it'll get potted to DSi or 3DS. If the only way you can play I'd still go for it; it's worth it even if it won't control as well. TL;DR Secret of Mana is an awesome game and a terrific soundtrack. Get both, the Wii version if possible otherwise try the iPhone.

Being a big fan of the game, I stupidly bought this album without previewing it. I was expecting orchestrated renditions of some of the fantastic arrangements from the game, but ended up with something I could've created with an SNES and a minidisc player. Sure, the music is great, but geez, give us something better than the SENS synthesized compositions, musical technology has evolved a lot since then!
  • Simply amazing.
