I bought this cd the day it came out 20yrs ago (im 40 now)& have loved it ever since! In the early days i was on the fence about TON, my co-worker always played bloody kisses & i thought idk about this goth stuff. well boy was i wrong, they opened for pantera & it was hook, line, & sinker! iv been a mega type 0 fan since.

This one had some of their best tunes by far, as good if not superior to Bloody Kisses thanks in part to its immediacy and consistancy. "Love You to Death" is easily one of their best songs and "Wolf Moon" is a total classic. This and 2003's "Life is Killing Me" are key albums in their catalog!
  • Pete's Favorite TON Album

October Rust is the first TON album that I got into. I bought it when I was in high school about a month after it came out. "Love you to Death" is, to me, the quintessential TON song; more so then Black No. 1. I love playing the into on my keyboard. I have so many memories of high school the revolve around October Rust. After is came out, I played "Green Man" over and over ever morning before going to school. After school I play half the album on guitar when I got home from school. It's an instant classic. I love the song "Die With Me", you need a 12 string tuned to B (B#, actually). I love how the lead plus the rhythm under the lead sound a little like Billy Idol's "Eyes without a Face". "In Praise of Bacchus" is another classic that I love playing on guitar (FYI: you need a guitar with a Fernandez sustainer to play it). Please buy October Rust, there is no band like Type O Negative. They are a true one-of-a-kind band.

As a long time Type O fan this album has been played by me 1000 time. One of their greatest accomplishments and one of the best in the genre if not the best. Kills and saddens me that Peter passed. I would loved to have heard what the bad could have done now a days with all the garbage music that is coming out. Buy this album, it’s worth every penny.
  • Simply put - This is the single best piece of music ever recorded, and I mean EVER FREAKING recorded

During the 90's somehow Peter Steele was able to build the most complete and addicting music the world has ever seen. Anyone unsure, just give this album an open minded listen, and you will soon understand. Ive had this album since Oct of 1996 when it was released and it is still my favorite record. Words can't describe the way this music will move you. Absolutely stunning combinations of incredible talent throughout. Anyone will hear the complicated melodies and vocals in this album, and realize just how special Peter Steele was. Rest in peace, Peter.

This is F%$# music 101. Any ladies wanna give it a shot? This album reminds me of how a former love of mine killed it for me. The begining is how I felt before, and the album goes on to tell how I felt afterwards. Thats just how I felt about it and still do. It is GREAT for the deep, dark, and depressed. Its Beautiful!
