Strictly Diesel

I find it unfortunate that Spineshank was bunched into the Nu Metal genre. They have more talent than almost any Nu metal band but because people just decided to put them in the same group as so many unoriginal they never got the respect they deserved

out of all the numetal drivel that's out and about now adays it's sometimes fun to head back to the mid to late nineties and check out where it all started. And spineshanks debut is definitely one of the better ones. It's a lot less focused and the musicianship is nothing spectacular because, as I understand it, there were just about totally hammered drunk when they wrote and performed this album, but that's part of it's charm. It's just raw energy but it still manages to maintain a great rhythm, and occasionally a bit of melody peaks it's battered little head through.

were Spineshank first started, if you like NuMetal/Indrustral, buy this album!!

I love this album!...as well as the rest of Spineshanks stuff. If you don't wanna fork out the cash for the entire album, at least get Detatched, and While My Guitar Gently Weeps (which is a remake from the Beetle's). Release date is acctually 1998. There is not much swearing in the album, so you won't be missing out too much with the clean version.
