Chris McCaughan's solo album is simply incredible. Every song contains an emotion-drenched story with inspiring lyrics. I consider it a masterpiece. His talent is portrayed here just as much if not moreso than in his days with the Lawrence Arms. It's really tough to even pick one favorite off the album. I love it. I think if you give it a chance you will too. Basically, buy this f*cking amazing work of art.

This is an amazing acoustic album by The Lawrence Arms guitar player, Chris. It should be Sundowner and not various artists as ITunes has labeled it. An amazing 12 song album that features some of the best lyrics ever composed. This is a must own. Enjoy!

this album has been one that stayed in my cd player for at least a year now, and i still haven't gotten tired of it yet. i love it to death, but why is the artist for this album listed as Various Artists instead of Sundowner?

I've always been a big fan of Chris Mccaughan and his work with the Lawrence Arms so I knew this would be a solid release from him. While all the songs are simply acoustic guitar with vocals and some backing piano/strings, they come across beautifully. Each song tells a different story through Mccaughan's pleasant but somewhat distressed vocals, it's obvious a lot of time was put into creating each one of these memorable tracks. Every song on this album is great, Indie, acoustic, and punk lovers should definitely check this out. 5/5
