Simply, you would be a fool not to buy this album, I have owned this album as well as all of his others for years now and I never get sick of listening to his unbelievable music. The other weekend I saw him live in Montreal and I don't ever think I will enjoy a concert as much as I enjoyed watching him play.

  • Decent but not as good as Sunrise Over Sea and Live in Ireland

When I first heard John Butler on Sunrise over Sea a couple years back I was really impressed. I love that record. Some amazing guitar work and the bass player plays an acoustic bass which I think is a great touch for this group. To tell you truth I liked this album, but I was just so enamoured with Sunrise and the playing on his live record that this record just didn't do much for me. I guess I was just expecting more. His sound seems like it's moving more towards a heavy emphasis on production value rather than the organic instrumentation that he's had on previous records.

Why would John Butler ever have a care as to whether or not his song made it to the american Billboard rating? His music is awesome and as long as he's having fun, I'm pretty sure that he could not care less.

This Album is AWSOME hand down! You don't even have to be a John Butler Trio to like it! Songs like Daniella and Devil Running though they don't have the popularity rating, they are by far the awsomest on here, others like Good Excuse, Used to get high and fire in the sky also exceeded my expectations for this album. He uses the same style guitar playing but with a little funkier upbeat sound that you can listen to over and over again!
