I was excited to see that Mark Trombino had produced this album, but that had in no way prepared me for what happened when I put this cd in the cd player. Ther simply is nothing like it that I've found, I've found things similiar, but this disc stand on it's own two feet. It has a nice idea of pop music that's always stained with that messy punk lyricism and tainted all over with odd ideas that show us that this songs weren't written by silver voiced prep school sell outs. This release stands out among the rest, if you like albums such as The Used's In Love And Death, AFI 's Sing The Sorrow, or Brand New's Deja Entendu this record is for you, I love it.

When i first heard "Here i stand" i started crying. Was it about his girlfriend or a break-up or something? Anyways, i love ML and i hope they come out with some new amazing songs.

... that this band sounds EXACTLY like approximately 93237321193 bands out there? Seriously, it's painful to listen to.

Madina Lake is an awesome! band. Their music is great, their lyrics are fantastic, and they sound good live. From them, through us, to you is their best album with songs like Adalia, Pandora, and True love. Check 'em out if you've never heard them .

Madina Lake really does a sick job on this album. From beginning to end, it's full of hit songs. Here I Stand is just phenomenal. Adalia, House of Cards, Now or Never, Pandora, and Stars are great when you just wanna drive around with the music on it's loudest. Can't wait to see them when they come to Starland Ballroom in November.

Even though this has The Auspice, the idiots here gave us the adavanced versions of a few tracks. Extra audio is on a few tracks on the retail version (not found on this download) that are relevent to the band's story. Don't buy this.

Unique. That's really the best way to describe this. This is some of the most original stuff I've ever heard. Not only are the songs good-sounding and fun to listen to, but the entire album is trying to say something. The entire album has hidden meanings, which tell the story of Adalia's disappearance. Some tracks in particular that stood out: Here I Stand - Okay, this song is just awesome, no need for there to be extra meanings for this one. A great opening to a great album. In Another Life - At first, I really disliked this song. The beginning sounded like crap, like a big mess of shouty vocals and random sounds. After I learned more about the song, I appreciated it more. After discovering that this song was written after Nathan dreamed his girlfriend committed suicide, I applied that to the song, and the track made sense. The beginning of the song describes the shock and confusion associated with the suicide of a loved one. The verse beginning with "You were always great at runnin' away" tells about the core sadness felt when someone dies. Morning Sadness - Similar to In Another Life, this song is about the death of a loved one--specifically, Nathan and Matthew's mother's death. Besides the usual feelings of despair, the song gives a sense of unspoken emotion, that feeling that builds up when you "don't want to talk about it." Overall, an amazing album, and a great beginning to the story of Madina Lake.
