Not only is this album absolutely fantastic (like EVERY other album they've made), but they have an incredible live show to back up their talent.... These guys are the real deal, one of my FAVOURITE bands of all time, and know how to bring it on!!! Cannibal proves that they're not going to stop kickin' a** anytime soon!!!

Wow, I know Static-X is not the most talented band by any means. They play subpar music most of the time, but can be really exciting at times. This album lacks excitement, it lacks melody (very very little melody). Wayne's voice is like a machine. It's just terrible. The music is alright. There's times when the music sounds like its going somewhere awesome, but by the end of the song it's too repeating to make an impact on me. I'm seriously dissapointed in this effort (or lack of). Not that you'd expect a crowning achievement from bands like Static-X, Disturbed, Godsmack, etc...but you expect better than this. Worst album they've done. period.

well,i dont know where Static-X was trying to go with this but one thing is for sure...they failed...misserably. This album is nowhere as good as their albums prior to this. Seem as though their going for more of a techno sound then the heavy metal sound i grew to love, and on top of that his vocals are far to monotone for my liking. If your a Static-X fan you may like this album, but i for one suggest you buy Threads Of Life by Shadows Fall instead. That is an album that refuses to let you down!!!

  • Wisconsin Death Trip... Again.

Wayne Static has said that this album is a sort of 'back to basics' collection where the band went back to the style they used on Wisconsin Death Trip. Unfortunately, the songs on Cannibal are so much like their first album, that they actually use rhythms from it. In pretty much every song on Cannibal, you can find a rhythm from Wisconsin Death Trip with different lyrics put over top of it. I'm a huge Static-X fan, but I'll take Wisconsin Death Trip and Shadow Zone any day over Cannibal.

I agree with everything that's been previously said. I bought this album at lunch today and went back to the office. After one listen through I was ready to rip someone's head off. It's a great album with plenty of energy throughout. I think it's the best one they've put out yet. Definitely pick it up you're into Metal. However, don't ever buy a clean version of a disc!!
