First and foremost, I can't give this album 5 stars because I have heard, and consistently listen to, better bands, but that being said, I'm not going to hurt their average of 5 star rating by giving it less than a 4, because I know what they are doing is VERY difficult. Now to clarify one thing, to whoever below this rating said that these guys are grindcore, and that they play at 200 bpm, you sir, are wrong on both ends. Not even Brain Drill plays at a full 200 bpm. Just saying, Mr. Music-know-it-all.

Great album, decent artwork. It's like knife in your jugular. If you're into extreme metal, this is worth your time & money.

This album is beautiful. Pig Destroyer are always improving their sound, and it seems they've reached a high point worthy of complete satisfaction. In other words, if I had taken part in this album, I would feel like I could just die right now and I would have accomplished enough in my life. Sounds like high praise, I know, but it is much deserved. These guys have definitely hammered their nail of contribution into this world, managing to ruthlessly claw their way to the top of the grind blast pile with their magnificent slabs of relentless, crushing, stabbing genius. Note: For the full effect of the album, listen all the way through. I have never found myself able to listen to one or two tracks out of sequence without just wanting to dive into the complete experience. A well-crafted album. Thanks, Pig Destroyer.

Because this is it, Pig Destroyer's latest release is 100% syringe death thrash. Relentless grinding mosh apocalypse. Theyve mastered the sound and shut down the competition so furiously here. Mallcore dies at the hands of this album. The new member Blake Harrison adds some great horror noise atmosphere to the fray as well, Best Cuts include: 'Waist Deep In Ash', 'Deathtripper', 'Fourth Degree Burns', & 'Heathen Temple'. All bow to the truest grind around, you will learn to love Pig Destroyer.

at least in this album, like having your face shredded until it feels good think none stop brutality mixed with adrenaline rush aggressiveness that makes any other band seem soft , you can sprint , fight and even headbang until you pass out after listening to this , in short if your a fan of grindcore , metal , or just like having shotguns go off in your ear YOU MUST BUY THIS

If you're familliar with Pig Destroyer, you know what to expect, and it's a solid addition to their canon. They seem to have abandoned the political stances and let themselves wallow in the muck and maggot infested filth that really is more fitting for music that you can't understand the lyrics to anyway. Phantom Limb is a tempest of power and a tool of destruction. Basically a non-stop onslaught of grind that is fcuking awesome! They even throw the metal heads a couple bones with some riffing. It's a really good album that wil scare the crap out of your parents (even if they're dead).
